Anti-reflective coating used to improve glass properties (normally in photovoltatic). It is a multilayer coating system for glass that can be sintered simultaneously with the glass tempering process. It enhances light transmittance, improving the efficiency of photovoltaic modules, while also providing antisoiling properties that reduce dirt accumulation and minimize maintenance costs. The coating is applied through a sol-gel deposition process, followed by thermal treatment, making it compatible with large-scale glass manufacturing. It is specifically designed to lower the Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) in photovoltaic installations by improving module performance and reducing operations and maintenance costs. The material is protected by the patent family derived from WO2018130701 and is currently at TRL5, with successful scaling for photovoltaic module applications and pre-scaling for the glass industry. In addition to photovoltaic systems, it is also suitable for use in construction and automotive sectors, where anti-reflective and self-cleaning properties are highly valued.
